Parish Councillor vacancy

Cosgrove Parish Council now has two vacancies for a Parish Councillor. These positions are open to members of the community who feel they can contribute to the decision making for the village.
Councillor elections are scheduled for May 2025, so successful candidates will have approximately twelve months to get into the role. If you want to make a difference, come along to meetings where you can view the discussions, raise any points of concern during the agenda item, 'Public Session' and when ready, make the Chair and Clerk aware of your interest.

The Parish Council meet on the first Wednesday of each month at 7.30pm, in the Village Hall, and members of the public are welcome to attend and observe the proceedings.

What does the Parish Council do?

The parish council is a democratically elected body serving the Parish of Cosgrove. Its purpose is to protect and promote the interests of parishioners and to provide local services. A copy of the Parish Council meeting agenda and minutes can be found on the bus shelter notice board as well as on the Parish Council page of the village website.
A summary report of the previous month's Parish Council meeting is written by the clerk and Chair, and can be read in the Old Mail magazine.

Alternatively view previous minutes by selecting from the dropdown menu under Parish Council.

Anyone interested in taking up one of the vacant Parish Councillor positions, is invited to attend Parish Council meetings, where you can introduce yourself and decide if you wish to volunteer for the important role.
